Whitehills Premier Store

The brief: We were asked to design a small kitchen, prep area and servery counter for the new café. The kitchen and counter were to accommodate both eating-in and takeaway with the emphasis on the takeaway aspect after 4 pm.

The action: To keep waiting times to a minimum, we provided two Falcon Express high-speed ovens. They will be used for heating chicken fillets, nuggets and other items from frozen in less than two minutes offering a healthier option than fried products. We also installed a front counter consisting of a sunken Ice-cream freezer, a deli section, a hot section, soup and an ambient display. For the evening menu pizza was a requirement, so we provided a Foster refrigerated counter with raised prep top and a two-deck pizza oven. Finally, to keep everything clean, we installed a small prep area and dish wash area.

The result: We completed the project on time and on budget.
